For many years, Maria Schenke has been designing casual garments that delicately and thoughtfully accentuate the female figure and are inspired by the colourful life between the bridges. All pieces are designed in her studio at Industriestraße 19 in Schleußig and manufactured by her on site.
The selected raw materials come from small manufacturers and are woven and dyed in southern Germany to produce durable and long-lasting knitwear.
Since 2022, Maria Schenke as well has been working closely with the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts and Design in Leipzig, among others, giving advertising banners a second life in her garments such as reversible jackets and bags.
