Anne Deuter's artist's books are striking for their concentrated, conceptual composition.
Her own brief texts about self-observations of the weather or childhood memories find their counterpart in laconic typography, special papers, graphic blind embossing, refined folds, unusual bindings, protective flaps, banderoles or slipcases.
Each of the hand-sized gems is an intimate, outwardly closed, poetic work of art that does not reveal every secret even when opened.
